Roque claims ICC arrest warrant vs. Bato issued, urges Senator not to “get kidnapped”
Former presidential spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque claimed that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has already issued a warrant of arrest against Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, urging the senator not to allow himself to be “kidnapped” and taken to the ICC detention facility in The Hague.
In a Facebook post Sunday night, Roque addressed the senator directly, saying: “Sen Bato, your warrant of arrest is out! Huwag ka pa-kidnap! Insist that you have the right to be brought before a Philippine Court first!”
Roque followed this with another message advising dela Rosa to seek refuge at the Supreme Court.
“Magposas ka na sa loob ng hukuman partikular sa Supreme Court. Mag sanctuary ka dun! Huwag na huwag kang magpapadukot!” he added.
However, Roque did not present any document or proof confirming he had seen the alleged warrant of arrest against dela Rosa.
As of now, neither the ICC nor Philippine authorities have released any official statement verifying Roque’s claim.
