PCSO’s ‘Charitimba’ brings aid to Malolos communities

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan - Through the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office's (PCSO) "Charitimba" outreach program, food packets were distributed to about 1,000 barangay volunteers and impoverished Malolos City residents.

The distribution, which was spearheaded by PCSO Board Member Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, benefitted a number of groups, including non-governmental organizations, barangay health workers, single parents, tricycle drivers, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people with disabilities.

As part of PCSO's social corporate responsibility, the program seeks to encourage healthy eating and offer food assistance.

In addition to distributing meals, PCSO gave 20 people educational awards to enable them further their education and realize their goals.

The agency's dedication to improving Filipinos' lives via social services and educational opportunities includes the scholarship award.

Lottery games are the main source of funding for PCSO, a government-owned and regulated organization under the Office of the President.
