‘CABan ng Tuwa’ trade fair showcases local products in Cabanatuan
CABANATUAN City, Nueva Ecija - CABan ng Tuwa Trade Fair began in conjunction with the Banatu Festival and the 75th anniversary of Cabanatuan City's foundation.
The City Livelihood and Cooperatives Development Office (CLCDO) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) collaborated to organize the event and showcased locally produced goods.
Popular meat products as well as novel foods including peanut butter, kangkong chips, squash chips, mushroom chips, and calamansi juice were among the things on exhibit.
The fair also brought attention to the city's growing need for handpainted woven bags produced by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) and Kalila's Bag Making.
The selection of high-quality handcrafted goods was complemented by locally produced non-food items such body oils, soaps, macramé, crochet, paintings, and resin products.
In addition to giving local companies a platform, the CLCDO and DTI help MSMEs strengthen their business abilities by offering free training courses in bookkeeping, financial management, and product creation.
Trade shows are essential for demonstrating how government support can turn small businesses into competitive organizations on a national and worldwide scale, stressed DTI Assistant Regional Director Richard Simangan.
