House Justice Committee to Review Impeachment Complaints vs. President Marcos in February

The House Committee on Justice will begin deliberations on two impeachment complaints filed against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. from February 2 to 4.

“Before we actually start the process before the Justice Committee, kailangan talaga ma-consolidate. Because two complaints are not possible to be heard in the Justice Committee. Dapat upon referral, consolidation na,” said committee chairperson Rep. Gerville Luistro.

This means both complaints will be treated equally and consolidated into a single review.

The committee will also examine whether the complaints have “sufficiency in form and substance” before recommending any action, including whether the impeachment charges are valid or baseless.

The Justice panel is expected to submit its recommendation after 60 days of House sessions.
