Angeles City to open 3rd phase of public cemetery

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga - Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. announced that the city government would launch the third phase of Angeles City public cemetery extension in Barangay Capaya.

This initiative demonstrates the city's dedication to enhancing public services and offering its citizens improved amenities, guaranteeing respectable resting spaces for everybody.

960 bone niches, 288 baby niches, and 1,152 full-body adult niche spaces are added in the Phase 3 extension.

This increases the cemetery's overall capacity to 12,518 and includes 1,600 columbarium slots, 3,726 bone niches, and 7,192 full-body niches. Two to three urns can fit in each columbarium slot.

β€œThe cemetery extension is a long-term investment in public service,” Lazatin stressed.

He added that the Phase 3 expansion of the public cemetery is an investment in the future, ensuring that we continue providing essential services to our residents.

As evidence of the city's commitment to serving the needs of the community, extensions in 2024 and early 2025 added thousands more niches, and plans are in the works to add 3,360 additional bone niches.
