PNP intel, tracker teams on standby for Discaya arrest

The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that it is only waiting for the release of the warrant of arrest for Sarah Discaya and others linked to the alleged “ghost” flood control project in Davao Occidental.

According to PNP Acting Chief PLtGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., intelligence units and tracker teams are already on standby to apprehend those responsible for the anomalous flood control project.

The PNP is coordinating closely with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), airport authorities, and local government units to ensure that Discaya and the other accused cannot leave through any exit point.

Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla earlier confirmed that Discaya remains in the country and is currently “under surveillance.”
