Interpol Seeks More Details from NBI on Red Notice Request vs. Zaldy Co

The International Criminal Police Organization has asked the National Bureau of Investigation for additional information regarding its request to issue a red notice against former Ako-Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co.

During a press briefing on Thursday, NBI spokesperson Palmer Mallari said the request was coursed through the Philippine Center on Transnational Crimes.

“Interpol has requested supplemental information, and we have been given up to February 11 to submit the supplemental information so they can decide on our request,” ani Mallari.

The NBI had earlier submitted its request for a red notice on November 23, 2025.

Mallari added that the bureau will coordinate with the Office of the Ombudsman and the Sandiganbayan to gather the additional documents needed.

Meanwhile, the NBI assured that the manhunt for Co continues. While the Department of the Interior and Local Government earlier said he was in Portugal, recent court filings showed that Co signed a petition before the Supreme Court indicating he may be in Stockholm, Sweden.
