Imee: Ako kasi hindi natatakot, kasi ako love

MANILA, Philippines - Re-electionist senator Imee Marcos, unfazed by former president Rodrigo Duterte’s latest round of death threats, that she is absolutely not afraid.

When asked about Duterte’s now-viral “kill senators” remark, Marcos shrugged it off with confidence and answered, “Ako kasi hindi natatakot, kasi ako love."

She stated that those reacting nervously to Duterte’s words might just be obstacles in his way—unlike her, who, presumably, floats above such trivial concerns.

During a press conference, Marcos reiterated her stance as an "independent" politician, positioning herself between the administration of her brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and former president Rodrigo Duterte. Addressing Duterte’s controversial remarks, she downplayed concerns over his rhetoric, describing it as a familiar aspect of political discourse in Davao.

Marcos' remarks come amid ongoing tensions between the Marcos and Duterte camps, as political alliances continue to shift.
