Jennie announces debut solo album "Ruby" with star-studded collaborations

MANILA, Philippines - K-pop superstar Jennie is making some buzz with the announcement of Ruby—her much-awaited debut solo album, in her Instagram posts on Wednesday. 

The Blackpink artist broke the news on social media with a visually dazzling photo and video, which is scheduled for release on March 7. Jennie, who has striking ruby-red hair in the post, mesmerized followers with images of her changing into a warrior, signifying a fierce new phase in her career.

With collaborations from international superstars such as Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis, the album promises to showcase a stellar roster. Fans are ecstatically awaiting Ruby, and pre-orders are now available.

Since the beginning of a new era in 2024, Jennie has been doing extremely well particularly, when she released her comeback single—Mantra, in October after partnering with Columbia Records in collaboration with Odd Atelier in September, and later revealed in December that she was working on her first album as he teased fans with behind-the-scenes studio photos on her birthday this January 2025. 

Renowned for her appearance on ZICO's SPOT and her previous hits, including SOLO and You & Me!, Jennie is now ready to shine independently. The multi-talented artist is poised to establish herself as a global star with her album Ruby.
