Basketball: Gilas Women to 3x3 World!
The Gilas Women’s 3x3 Team emerged unstoppable in Doha, Qatar after sweeping the Stop 5 of the FIBA 3x3 Youth Nations League 2025 - Asia-Pacific 1. After a dominant 21-14 win over Chinese Taipei in the finals, they officially punched their ticket to the 2025 FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup.
Meanwhile, the Gilas Men's Team locked in a third place finish after a tough 18-22 loss to Qatar and a 21-15 win over Indonesia.
Ice Hockey: Crushed Enemies Everywhere
Team Philippines is on a roll after freezing Malaysia, 8-1, for their third straight win in the preliminary round of the IIHF Women’s Asia Cup 2025 in Al Ain, UAE. Next up for cold serve: India.
Gymnastics: Golden Girl Maayo
In a shimmering display of glorious grace, Tchelzy Mei Maayo soared to two gold medals in the Junior Individual All-Around and Vault, and added two silvers in the Floor Exercise and Balance Beam at the Singapore Open 2025.
Pamela Kirsten Suan also shone with a silver medal on the Balance Beam (Level 6). Future’s bright in Filipino gymnastics!
Rowing: Double Winners in the Water
It was a stunning debut for the Philippine Rowing Team at the Ratzeburg Regatta 2025 in Germany. Zuriel Sumintac and Edgar Ilas powered through the competition for a silver in the Lightweight Men’s Pairs. Kristine Paraon and Feiza Lenton netted bronze in the Women’s Double Sculls.
