Duterte Condemns Use of Son’s Photo in Fake Post

Sara Duterte has denounced the unauthorized use of her minor son’s photograph in a social media post circulating online.

In a statement, Duterte said the image was used without consent and paired with a message falsely attributed to her son asking the public to look after his mother.

The vice president emphasized that she has never involved her children in politics and does not allow them to participate in political matters outside their home.

She also cautioned the public against dragging minors into political discourse, particularly through misleading content.

Duterte stressed that children should not be used as tools to spread misinformation, especially amid the country’s heated political environment.

She added that safeguarding young people from exploitation in public debates is a shared responsibility of society.
