CitySavings Bank strengthens education support with DepEd partnership, pledges laptop donations
City Savings Bank (CitySavings), the thrift subsidiary of Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank), has reinforced its dedication to supporting educators and students by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Education (DepEd).
This collaboration aims to enhance learning and teaching support programs that align with DepEd's 5-Point Agenda, addressing critical issues in the education sector.
CitySavings Chairperson and UnionBank President & CEO Ana Aboitiz-Delgado emphasized the bank’s long-standing mission, stating, “At Aboitiz, everything we do is anchored in our values and our greater purpose. We applaud DepEd for its commitment to improving the quality of education in our country, and rest assured that we in CitySavings and the whole Aboitiz Group are equally committed to enabling teachers and learners to reach their full potential.”
As part of this initiative, CitySavings has committed to donating laptops to selected DepEd divisions nationwide to advance digitalization efforts and improve learning outcomes in public schools.
This effort underscores the bank's ongoing commitment to empowering teachers and learners, ensuring they have the necessary tools to reach their full potential.
